Why Midlife Women?
As I’ve been learning about my changing oestrogen & progesterone hormone levels and how it affects women between age 40-55 is blowing my mind
Not to mention how different women’s brains are, how hormones impact whether we “feel good” AND what medical doctors are tellings us to be true based on data mainly relevant to MEN 😱
What’s important is I share what I’ve learned and there’s no better wat to do this than to build community for women with other women.
We learn through our shared experiences when we create safe spaces for healthy discourse and professionally guided by trained facilitators.
As a certified Circle Leadership Facilitator, it just made sense to me to rekindle my online women’s circles with the theme MidLife (more on WHAT midlife means below).
I’m relaunching my online Women’s Circles with a FREE Session on Wednesday 15th May for “MidLife Warrior Women” with guest collaborator Karen Tan of @womeninmidlife(on instagram)

A New Take On MidLife
I recently read this quote by Matt Kahn :
"Despite how open and peaceful and loving you attempt to be, people can only meet you as deeply as they've met themselves. This is the heart of clarity"
But…
How deeply can you meet yourself?
It’s easy to feel rejected, abandoned, invisible or misunderstood by other people because they are on a different life trajectory than you
But are you aware of YOUR NEED to be seen, heard, felt & validated?
I spent decades of my life fostering unhealthy friendships and relationships based on my need to fill the void WITHIN me
I needed to be seen, heard, accepted so I did whatever it took to please others
A lot of this was unconscious.
I shape-shifted, changed who I was, rejected my own values and abandoned what made ME happy to gain the attention and acceptance of others
Looking back at my life I realise at the midpoint of every decade eg. Ages 18, 25, 36, 45 - I hit a crossroads
I questioned who I am.
At each “midlife” point, through awareness I changed the trajectory of my life.
Either I changed jobs, career, made new friends, or shifted the dynamic of the relationship with my family and my partner .
Why? To realign to what I desired. What felt right FOR ME
I needed to meet MYSELF
Be the person I needed
To be seen, heard, felt, held & accepted YOU must first give this to yourself
👁️ SEE - Become the observer of your behavioural oatterns
👂🏽 HEAR - Listen for the wisdom of your heart & soul
💓 FEEL - Create space to Sit WITH your emotions
🫂 HOLD - Be accountable for your choices & actions
ACCEPT - When you can be with “what is” without being controlled by any emotional charge, narratives (stories) of triggers, wounds and traumas you gain the ability to ACKNOWLEDGE what is real and true right now in the present moment. And this is EMPOWERMENT
Walk your self awareness and healing journey together learning with and through each other to BE the person you need, the person you’re born to be

She knows these changes can impact both physical and emotional well-being, often making it hard to stay happy and relaxed.
Karen doesn’t just rely on medicines and supplement; she also promotes holistic practices that nurture both the body and mind.
She emphasizes the importance of mental health support, strong friendships, and calming activities.
Karen acts as a caring guide and friend to women during this important phase, ensuring they enjoy a more peaceful and joyful journey.
